Originally created in 2006, this volume is made entirely of one single spell - Spell 125. One of the most important spells in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, Spell 125 is broken into several sections, each with their own concerns and cast of occult characters, and is not to be taken lightly.
When HAARBN was compiling what was to become 'Dawning of an Ancient Sun' and 'The Silent Land', they decided they wanted to include Spell 125 in its entirety, as one piece, despite its full-album length. The piece that was included differed slightly from the original release, not only in the lack of track breaks (the original had been divided into 5 parts, following the sectional breaks in the Spell as written), but also in the addition of certain extra sonic elements. Extra sonic elements that, listening in2013, I no longer liked.
So, in short, the version presented here is neither the original released version, nor the version that appeared on the HAARBN compilations, but a remastered amalgamation of both versions, plus a smattering of some totally new additional sounds and voices (circa 2013). It has been re-broken into component sections, although not the 5 of the original release; rather, the 'Introduction' and the 'Declaration of Innocence' now run together smoothly as a single piece, while the remaining sections are divided into separate pieces. Please note, however, that the album works best as one continuous flowing piece of music, and as such, avoid downloading it as mp3s (or manually remove the small gaps that mp3s generate).
Additional note: the cover art for 'Volume 6 - Spell 125' was reused by HAARBN, with minor changes, as the cover for the 'Dawning of an Ancient Sun' compilation.
