about

I BRING ETERNITY TO AN END
AND I TAKE POSSESSION OF EVERLASTING

Frozen midwinter of 2017 (southern hemisphere) brings yet another volume in the ongoing series of blackened occult interpretations of the numerous Spells of the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, a journey first embarked upon by A Demon Sheen in 1997.

In the 20 years since he has been working on this project, The Horn has now released 123 Spells from the Book, out of a total of 189 (there are more Spells around, but no more in the translations possessed by A Dmn Shn).

With influences ranging from black metal drone to prog rock to reggaeton, this album sees The Horn once more racing through the blackened afterworld night sky as a blinding galactic falcon made of pure light.

Long-time Horn disciples will notice that Spell 110 deconstructs and reconstructs musical themes originally appearing in Spell 63. Conceptual continuity runs strong in the glowing veins of The Horn...

The front cover utilises the Ancient Egyptian numbering system: one symbol for "ten" and eight symbols for "eight". Enormous thanks to The Inscrutable Cosmo for this inspiration.

(Downloads come with bonus inner sleeve.)
